IT TAKES FAITH

It takes faith to do anything in life.  Hebrews 11:1 lets us know, faith is the assurance of things hoped for, evidence of things not seen, and who goes through life seeing everything their entire life’s journey before it happens?  Well, this lets me know we live by faith daily even when we’re not consciously aware faith is operating in our lives.  Faith is not limited to Christians but to everyone who is first conceived in the womb and given birth to in the world.

When I think about faith in general, it takes faith to get out of bed, faith to make breakfast and get ready for the day, faith to leave the house and function during the day, faith to return home in the evenings and then to bed at nights, and the circle begins again and again.  Without faith, it is impossible to actively function in our daily lives.  Faith is innate, engrained in our DNA to survive and thrive in this world.  Hence, faith is like an GPS system installed in the deepest part of who we are even before conception.  First, the sperm has to run a marathon towards the egg for conception to happen, it takes faith for the sperm to reach the egg.  Therefore, if faith was always there, where does faith come from?

Created in the image of God, faith was engrained in us, which should confirm that faith is an intricate part of our existence.  It takes faith to believe there is another more to us, around us, above us and even below us.  Faith is the assurance of things hope for, evidence of things not “seen”.  We do not see with faith but we hope for something we can visualize in the mind.  To see is to have something physically in front of us but is not relative to this perception of sight. Hence, this would no longer but faith but evidence of what we previously hoped for, or evidence of what we now believe not requiring us to have faith.  Scripture lets us know, to walk by faith and not by sight.  To walk by faith is to walk blindly, hoping as we continue on life’s journey.  To hope is simply to believe, and to believe is to become a willing participant in what we are believing for.  Well, what or we have faith in? Ourselves when we’re technically unable to see our beginning and end?

Without faith, it’s impossible to please God.  Does this not make sense? Of course it does! How can we please God when we do not operate in faith and operate in a zombie spirit? Meaning, operating like people who are visually alive but spiritually dead. This is not a character trait of God, in face, this is not a tool you want to have or else you won’t make it in life and to heaven.  Faith requires us to fully place our trust in God, to effectively achieve all He has for us to do on earth and reach our destination.  Faith should let us know, God is the eyes and ears to who we are, He is the navigation system that gives us the desired location that tells us where to go.  Remember, we have a GPS already build in but God gives the next location where we should go.

It takes faith to achieve and to accomplish anything in life but most importantly, without faith it is impossible to please God.
